Here are a few general guiding principles, just in case, to make sure everyone plays fair:
Keep it clean: Whether you're writing a review or a delightfully detailed account of your visit, keep foul/abusive/hateful language, SMS-lingo, threats, and lewdness out of it.
Don't steal: Plagiarism is a strict no-no, so please make sure you take your own photos and write your own reviews. Stay classy.
Guidelines for businesses
Delightle is also a great way for businesses to reach out to a local community. A few things you should know: While our team makes every effort to keep information on Delightle up-to-date, please get in touch with us if you'd like to update the information. A complete and updated business page means more value for existing and potential customers. When we say complete, we mean up-to-date phone numbers, latest menus, photos, and all the other miscellaneous but extremely useful information.
Businesses can connect and communicate with people by replying to their reviews on Delightle. If someone's written an unflattering review, please take it as constructive feedback and take the opportunity to fix things. Please don't use this as a platform to hit back, or offer people an incentive to change/edit the review. If your reply to people is inappropriate or offensive, we reserve the right to delete it without any prior notice. Remember, People are always right. Ah, and no writing negative reviews for competitors, please.Reviews of other businesses (especially competitors) written by business owners will be removed.
Reviews: We love a nice, descriptive review (especially ones with pictures), and so does everyone else on Delightle. To contribute meaningfully, please make sure your reviews are accurate and based on personal experience. Any review using abusive or foul language will be deleted from Delightle. Also, our moderators delete reviews that clearly indicate personal vendetta against an establishment - such reviews mostly include evidence that the reviewer has not even visited the place.
Review must be factual and free of any form of insult. Particularly the following aspects are not permitted: 1. leaving feedback for the sole purpose of artificially improving or devaluing a Partner’s overall feedback profile, 2. leaving defamatory, insulting, subjective, untrue, offensive or derogatory feedback, 3. leaving racist feedback, 4. leaving deceptive feedback or feedback through which any form of anti-competitive purpose is pursued, 5. leaving feedback that infringes with any rights of third parties, especially personal rights, commercial property rights or copyrights.
Photos: Photos are a great way to share your experiences. The only times we'll remove pictures from business pages and reviews are if they: • are of poor quality. e.g. low resolution, too dark or grainy (making them useless to the community) • have nothing to do with the business. e.g. images of a garbage dump or a chemist next to a place • Don't worry, we'll keep the one that looks the best! • are selfies. • are not taken by the users. • are of people who do not agree with the publication • are not infringe with the rights of third parties Delightle reserves the right to remove any reviews/photos at its own discretion.
User Profiles: This is your identity on Delightle, so keep it real. You're welcome to use a screen name, but please refrain from using inappropriate names, bios, or profile images. We want to stay clean, and we might end up deleting your profile depending on how inappropriate your screen name, bio, or profile image is.
Delightle provides local business's information for free, but in no way do we take responsibility for their actions, service, or the experience they provide. While we provide an online and mobile platform for businesses, we do not endorse or represent them in any way.
We collect your email address, name and no other information from you. We’ll use this information by adding you to our list of people, send you notifications as per your settings, occasional newsletters that include an opt-out link, and let you know how and what we are offering on our website and from businesses that are partnered with us. We promise not to transfer your information to 3rd party services that are not directly required for us to perform business. You can also contact info@Delightle.com directly if you wish for your data to be 100% deleted or you can delete your account from your settings.
